The Gresham Memphis Hotel is a modern, ivy clad townhouse centrally located in Amsterdam's stately Old South neighbourhood, just 300 metres from the Vondelpark and one kilometre from the Museum Quarter. The 74 guestrooms incorporate subtly individual modern decor with coordinated patterned fabrics and contemporary furniture, and include air conditioning, minibars, hair dryers, direct dial telephones, advanced cable television systems with pay movies and music CDs, data ports, and dial up and wireless Internet connections.
The hotel's Memphis Bar is an informal, stylish, modern bar with plump upholstered seating and sofas, offering hot and cold meals such as pasta, Memphis Burgers, dim sum and Dutch apple pie, alongside snacks, finger food and an array of alcoholic beverages. Guests can start the day in the informal breakfast room, work out in the air conditioned gym which offers free fruit, spring water and towels, relax with a drink and a snack in the bar, and have a coffee in the lobby with complimentary newspapers. There are wireless Internet connections throughout the hotel, as well as a 24 hour business centre and two conference rooms. Practical amenities include multilingual staff, bicycles rental and parking nearby for 18 EUR per day. The hotel is well placed to explore the surrounding area; the Van Gogh Museum and Rijksmuseum are both within one kilometre, and the Old City Centre and canals are 1.5 kilometres away. Dam Square is three kilometres distance. Amsterdam Schipol Airport is 13 kilometres from the hotel, an approximate driving time of 15 minutes.

There is a railway station in the terminal's central hall, under Schiphol Plaza; direct trains run to Amsterdam Centraal Station, three kilometres from the hotel, approximately every 15 minutes. Schiphol Travel Taxis are available from outside the arrivals hall, a fare to the city centre costing in the region of 35 40 EUR. Public buses also run regularly to Amsterdam and other cities. Much of Amsterdam can be explored on foot although trams run throughout the city. More adventurous visitors may wish to hire bicycles.
Driving directions: From the airport follow the signs to Amsterdam. At Amsterdam follow the signs 'Ring Zuid'. Take exit 108 Amsterdam Zuid / Amstelveen. At the traffic lights follow directions for Amsterdam. On the right is the Stadionplein (Stadium Square). Follow the curve to the right and turn left at the traffic lights. At the roundabout exit at the second street on the right to the Cornelis Krusemanstraat which becomes the De Lairessestraat. Continue straight to the second set of traffic lights and turn right. The hotel is on the right.
